Communication and Theatre
Prepare for careers in journalism, public relations, broadcasting, theatre and more. This program provides a broad-based plan of study comprising courses in writing and theory/criticism, while stressing hands-on experience invaluable for career achievement.

Criminal Justice
The AUM Criminal Justice programs include two bachelor’s degree concentrations, two master’s-level degree programs and several minor choices. All include general education and specialized coursework.

Economics
To prepare students with the analytical tools and practical skills to succeed in business, finance and government, we offer three bachelor’s degree concentrations and three master’s degree options. Students can perform internships and get other practical experience before graduation.

English and Philosophy
Choose courses ranging from Renaissance literature to modern and postmodern literature, including courses on fiction, poetry, drama, and nonfiction. Majors may also take courses in rhetoric and composition, language and linguistics, literary criticism, and creative writing.

Fine Arts
Learn from professors who are successful practitioners in their field, and express yourself creatively within a supportive and collaborative environment. Choose from Graphic Design, Sculpture, Painting and Drawing, Ceramics, Photography, Visual Arts or Art History.

History and World Cultures
Whether your passion is learning about the past or becoming absorbed into a captivating world culture, this department is an excellent start to your academic career. Get hands on with study abroad opportunities, intriguing coursework, language study, service projects and more.

Political Science and Public Administration
Offers undergraduate and graduate degrees exploring the multiple and various dimensions of politics and its impact on the United States and beyond. Faculty members have expertise in American politics, comparative politics, international relations, public administration, research methods, and more.

Army ROTC
The Reserve Officer Training Corps is a college program offered at more than 1,700 colleges and universities that prepares young adults to become officers in the U.S. military. In exchange for a paid college education, participants commit to serve in the military after graduation.

Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work
Prepare for a career in non-profit work, the law, social work, governmental agencies, and many other career settings. We offer bachelors’ degrees in Sociology (with concentrations in Anthropology, Marriage and Family, and pre-Social Work) and Social Work. Minors in our department include Sociology, Anthropology, and Child Advocacy Studies.
